Workplace wellbeing – is it worth the money?

With the focus firmly on wellbeing and mental health training in the workplace, as a business leader you may still be wondering why you should invest in wellbeing training?

If you already have the traditional Occupational Health and EAP lines in place, what would additional wellbeing training really give you in return for your investment?

Now, if you were to ask me, I could probably give you 101 commercial reasons why your organisation should be looking at investing in wellbeing training.

But for the purpose of this blog, I’m going to focus on one, and that’s all about decision making.

When I worked in human resources, we actively looked for people to be able to make sound commercial decisions as part of the recruitment process, because like you, we wanted people that were switched on. People that had the ability to be able to look at the bigger picture, see the landscape, and know what decision they needed to make that would benefit an organisation.

But in today’s world, our minds are so cluttered. We’re literally absorbing information from the moment that we wake up to the moment that we go to sleep. And that affects our decision making.

It compromises the ability to make really clear decisions.

Which is why at The Mind Solution we’ve made sure that as part of digital employee wellbeing portal, your leaders, managers and employees have got really practical resources that they can utilise on a daily basis to calm the mind down. To create the space and spare capacity in the mind so that they can see the big picture, know intuitively what it is that they need to do and the decisions that they need to make.

Employee wellbeing in the workplace is worth the money and can provide you with a positive return on investment financially when done well!
