Mental Health Awareness Week takes place 15 to 21 May 2023 and the theme is ANXIETY.
In the UK, over 8 million people are experiencing anxiety at any one time time.
Having worked with 1000’s of people to help them to overcome anxiety, we have the perfect solution for you!
Many people who experience anxiety believe that anxiety is something that they have to learn to live with. That they are an ‘anxious person’ or that it’s part of their personality, but none of that is true.
Anxiety is created by repetitive, anxious and worst case scenario type thinking. People with anxiety spend hours giving their thoughts time and attention to anxious thoughts, mentally rehearsing worst case scenarios, always thinking about the future and the ‘what if’s’ and rarely living in the present moment.
This creates habitual and conditioned thinking which generates feeling s of anxiety, panic, worry, dread and fear keeping them locked in a vicious circle.
There are different ‘types’ of anxiety which range from Generalised Anxiety; Trauma and Post Traumatic Stress; Social Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Panic Attacks and anxiety about a specific situation such as public speaking. And the one thing connecting them all is anxious thinking.
The good news is that with the right knowledge, insight, wisdom and intervention people can live anxiety free lives.
