Mental Health Awareness Week

Mental Health Awareness Week May 2023

Mental Health Awareness Week takes place 15 to 21 May 2023 and the theme is ANXIETY.

In the UK, over 8 million people are experiencing anxiety at any one time time.

Having worked with 1000’s of people to help them to overcome anxiety, we have the perfect solution for you!

Many people who experience anxiety believe that anxiety is something that they have to learn to live with.  That they are an ‘anxious person’ or that it’s part of their personality, but none of that is true!

What is Anxiety?

Anxiety is created by repetitive, anxious and worst-case scenario-type thinking.  People with anxiety spend hours giving time and attention to anxious thoughts, mentally rehearsing worst-case scenarios, excessively worrying and overthinking, and rarely living in the present moment.

This creates habitual and conditioned thinking which generates feelings of anxiety, panic, worry, dread and fear keeping them locked in a vicious circle.

There are different ‘types’ of anxiety which range from Generalised Anxiety; Trauma and Post Traumatic Stress; Social Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Panic Attacks, Health Anxiety, Separation Anxiety and anxiety about a specific situation such as public speaking.

The one thing connecting all of these anxiety conditions is anxious thinking

The good news is that with the right knowledge, insight, and intervention people can live anxiety free lives

"Sara given me the tools to deal with times of stress or difficulty, I have noticed a big shift in my thinking and how I react to situations. Sara has also taught me how our body and mind are intricately linked and how to have a better awareness of looking after myself particularly in times of difficulty. Sara has helped me make changes that I so desperately needed and I cannot recommend or praise her enough."

Laura was told by her GP that anxiety may be something she had to experience for life. Luckily for Laura she discovered how a powerful combination of hypnotherapy and EFT Tapping enabled her to completely release her anxiety and discover a whole new state of mind.

In the past year I had been finding I was feeling more and more unmotivated in my work, lacking in energy and had been struck down with a variety of illnesses. I wasn't really sure how to make changes in my life or why I was feeling so low but I knew I couldn't carry on. I contacted Sara for some help and I am so glad that I did. She really listened to me and helped me realise why I was feeling the way I was. Through excellent relaxation techniques she helped me work through the problems and after just one session I felt like a completely different person. A weight was lifted and I could see how to move forward. I have since returned for 2 further sessions with Sara where she has taught me EFT, an amazing technique which I now use independently and with a great level of success. My new positive frame of mind has meant that I have taken up running, am eating healthier and I have so much more energy! I can't thank Sara enough and am happy to recommend her friendly, enjoyable and above all effective methods of therapy to anyone.
